Travelling opens you up to many new experiences and whilst I can appreciate an ancient ruin like the next woman I also enjoy a different type of ‘shrine’ – the cosmetic store. From my early forages through a local pharmacy where I bought my first bottle of Klorane shampoo, to later discovering the mecca that is Sephora where a discreet sales girl followed me while I filled the neat little basket she was holding. I felt it rude not to considering the trouble she was going to.
Here are some of the delights I found on my travels and have enjoyed ever since:
Fresh Sugar Lemon – smells like the best lemon meringue ever! The aroma has staying power without being overwhelming, use before bedtime and it leaves a lovely fresh smell on both skin and bedlinen. Feels nourishing and soothing. Love it!
A great combination to perk up your complexion in time for Summer. Gentle yet effective, a range of products to choose from but these 2 do it for me – Rose Hydrate Facial Scrub and Vitamin C+ Overnight Repair Capsules.
Elemis, just fabulous! My favourites of the moment are the Quiet Mind Temple Balm and British Botanical shower cream. The balm can be dotted on the temple, neck and pulse points when you need to relax – I rub between my palms and inhale the aroma. The shower cream is divine, like a walk in a sunny meadow…
It’s felt like a long cold Winter this year. But now is the time to come out of hibernation, peel off the layers and look forward to Summer. On a stroll past the Clarins counter recently these 2 caught my eye and I lingered long enough for a lovely assistant to give me a mini make-over. The colours are soft and warming giving a healthy glow and I snapped them up.
